Only on-field performance matters in sports: Tendulkar

Mumbai, 23 February : Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar believes that in sports, a player recognizes the performance on the field, not his background. One of the greatest cricketers of all time, Tendulkar retired in 2013 after making several records to his name.

Tendulkar said, “Whenever we enter the dressing form, it doesn’t really matter where you come from. From which part of the country have you come and with whom do you belong? The situation is same for everyone here. ”

“Nothing other than your performance on the field is recognized in sports,” he told PTI in a virtual conversation with PTI after becoming the brand ambassador of ‘Unacademy’.
